While the ECEIA 25 conference will be an in-person event in Sweden, we’re making sure no one misses out and bringing the unique opportunity to attend this online event.

Theme: How to Implement a Culture of Integrity in Higher Education Institutions?
Date: Thursday 19 – Friday 20 June 2025
Location: Online
Organized by: IRAFPA in collaboration with ECEIA 25
About the Colloquium
The 4th International Colloquium for Research and Action on Academic Integrity is an event for academics, researchers, and practitioners passionate about fostering integrity in higher education. This online event, organized by IRAFPA and aligned with the ECEIA 25 conference, provides a unique platform for sharing ideas, strategies, and research on creating a culture of integrity in higher education institutions.
The colloquium will begin with a live broadcast of the ECEIA 25 panel discussion and continue with engaging presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities.
Topics
In the face of academic social irresponsibility, this theme urges us to combine research and action to address questions such as:
- How do we build a culture of academic responsibility within our institutions?
- How can institutions measure their effectiveness in promoting social responsibility among faculty and students?
- What are the barriers to implementing academic social responsibility initiatives in higher education, and how can they be overcome?
- In what ways can higher education institutions work together on this critical issue?
- What are the organizational, psychological, economic, and other obstacles to implementing a culture of integrity?
- Which external institutional actors beyond academia can help us, and what strategies can they employ?
- How effective are current legal frameworks and policies in fostering further improvements?
Program
Each presentation will be allocated a maximum of 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for discussion. We aim to create opportunities for meaningful dialogue, ensuring we leave sufficient room for discussion to make the most of our time together. The Colloquium will conclude with a closing roundtable bringing together voices from different countries to discuss the future of the university.
