The exercise is intended to be used in the context of a learning unit on referencing, academic integrity or introducing research skills.

The exercise simply consists of one slide. The example is a real life case which was anonymised. The real case ended up in court and Apple was sued by Lemon. The court sentenced Apple to a considerable monetary penalty. It is recommended to inform the students about the real life case and how it ended after the exercise is finished. The exercise illustrates that negligent or incorrect working habits in terms of citing are a matter of taking responsibility and may have severe consequences.
