How to Prevent Plagiarism in Student Work

The handbook for academic staff is the output of the centralized development project of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports "Strengthening the prevention of plagiarism in student work" and represents the agreement of the author's team from eight Czech universities. It summarizes the basic information that every supervisor should know to prevent plagiarism in the work of students. The handbook discusses originality and the purpose of referencing. It also deals with forms of plagiarism, its detection and penalties. Finally, it provides some practical advice for conducting student theses. This guide is the basis for a student guide that is more compact and easier to read and understand.
