Dr Rita Santos is a senior researcher and project manager of the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI). She is the Coordinator of Project Result 3 of the FAITH Project. She is also the Coordinator of ENAI’s Support for Victims of Academic Misconduct Working Group. She was a junior researcher at the H2020 INTEGRITY project (https://h2020integrity.eu/), where she developed teaching materials about academic integrity and responsible conduct in research for high school students. She also collaborated in seminars about research ethics and integrity for biomedical PhD students and Postdoctoral researchers. She is a certified VIRT2UE research integrity trainer.

Dr Salim Razı is an Associate Professor at the English Language Teaching Programme of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University (COMU), Türkiye. He is the Founder Director of COMU Centre for Academic Integrity and a Founder Board member of the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI). He developed the ‘Transparent academic writing rubric’ and recently focuses on preventing plagiarism through an ‘anonymous multi-mediated writing model’, for which he was awarded the Turnitin Global Innovation Award in 2015. Dr Ece Zehir Topkaya is a full professor at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (COMU), Faculty of Education, Department of Foreign Languages Teaching, English Language Teaching Division. She currently teaches several courses both at undergraduate and graduate levels. She has publications on topics relevant to language teaching and learning, teacher education, language program evaluation and ESP/EAP, specifically focusing on needs analysis. She is interested in topics related to preventing plagiarism and fostering academic integrity in undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as in academic dissertations. She is also interested in course-level AI policy development. She describes herself as a budding researcher in AI-related issues.

Dr Dita Henek Dlabolová is the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI) executive manager. She is also an experienced teacher and trainer in the field of academic integrity. Her main focus is plagiarism prevention and interpretation of outputs of text-matching software. Her background is in computer science. Before starting her job with ENAI, she worked at Mendel University in Brno, Czechia, as an assistant professor, teaching computer science and academic writing. She worked there as a vice-dean for accreditation and was the Head of the disciplinary committee.

Dr Shivadas Sivasubramaniam (Dr Shiva) is one of the founding members of the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI). He chairs ENAI’s Ethical Advisory Working Group. He is also the Associate Editor of the Journal of Academic Ethics published by Springer Nature and has published several articles in the fields of academic integrity and medical ethics. As the Head of biomedical and forensic science who leads the pedagogic research at the University of Derby, UK, his main focus is medical ethics, internationalization and academic integrity.

Dr Tomáš Foltýnek is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University, Czechia. He represents Czechia in the Council of Europe’s Pan-European Platform for Ethics, Transparency, and Integrity in Education (ETINED). He also serves as a Deputy Head of the Working Committee on ethics in scientific and pedagogical work within the Council of Higher Education Institutions in Czechia. He has been dealing with plagiarism since 2008. He was involved in and has led several projects on plagiarism and academic integrity. Since 2013 he has been organizing conferences on this topic. He is the President of the Board of the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI) and a certified VIRT2UE research integrity trainer.

Dr Irene Glendinning has devoted more than 50 years to supporting and educating students and colleagues. Her extensive research including plagiarism, academic and research integrity, corruption, student experience, quality assurance and pedagogy, has provided a solid basis for her understanding of different challenges faced by academics, researchers and students and how to respond to them. Her current roles include being an institutional lead for academic integrity at Coventry University and a member of various groups and advisory bodies on academic integrity.

Július Kravjar is a Board Member of the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI) and the Coordinator of ENAI’s Glossary & Guidelines Working Group. He worked at the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information and participated in several national projects that supported education, science, research, development and innovation. For ten years, he was responsible for the Centralized Plagiarism Detection System in Slovakia that is mandatory for all Slovak Higher Education Institutions. His task was to manage the smooth operation of the system and its further development, manage all the requests/questions from the students and lecturers, and raise awareness of plagiarism and interpretation of the Protocol of originality. He was a participant in the international Erasmus+ project that led to the birth of the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI).

Dr Sonja Bjelobaba is vice-president of the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI) and the Coordinator of ENAI’s Addressing Contract Cheating Working Group. She works as a researcher at the Centre for Research Ethics & Bioethics as well as a Senior Lecturer in Serbian, Croatian, and Bosnian at the Department of Modern Languages, both at the Uppsala University (Sweden). She is the Coordinator of the Erasmus+ strategic partnership project Bridging Integrity in Higher Education, Business and Society (BRIDGE, 2020-2023). She defended her PhD thesis at the University of Gothenburg, where she, as an educational developer, taught research integrity, postgraduate supervision courses and other courses for faculty relating to teaching and learning in higher education. Her research concentrates on academic integrity in the Balkans and Sweden.

Laura Ribeiro holds a PhD in Human Biology. She is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Masters in Academic and Clinical Education. She is also involved in teaching academic/research integrity and humanities in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP). She is a member of the Ethics Committee of the University of Porto. She is the University of Porto representative member of the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI), with effective collaboration in several working groups. She is involved in three internationally supported research projects on academic/research ethics. Laura Ribeiro has been supervising PhD and Master theses on academic/scientific integrity.

Dr Milan Ojsteršek is the Head of the Laboratory for Heterogeneous Computer Systems at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. His research focuses on heterogeneous computing systems, digital libraries, open access, natural language processing, semantic web, academic integrity and plagiarism detection systems. He leads the development and operation of Slovenian open access infrastructure. Part of this project has been the development of rules and processes for mandatory submissions of electronic theses, dissertations, research publications and research data in repositories of Slovenian universities. Before the final version of the thesis is published in the repository, any similarity in content is detected using the text-matching software implemented in the national portal that has been developed under his leadership. Milan Ojsteršek is a member of the Auditing group of the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI).

Dr Zeenath Reza Khan is the Founding President and Board Member of the Centre for Academic Integrity in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). She is also an Assistant Professor of Responsible Information Systems at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences, and Program Director for Freshman Pathway Programs at the University of Wollongong in Dubai. Career spanning 21 years, Dr Khan is a Fellow of the Wollongong Academy of Tertiary Teaching Excellence (WATTLE), Audit Board Member at the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI) and Local Advisory Board Member of Our Own High School Al Warqa UAE (GEMS Education). Dr Khan is a national and international award-winning academic with more than 80 publications to her name. Dr Khan’s research interests are in academic integrity, cyber-ethics and STEM for girls. Recently she was named among UAE’s 10 most influential educational leaders 2019 by The Knowledge Review, won the Digital Leader Award in Education category from Khaleej Times and MIT Sloan Mgt Review’s Digital Leaders Forum, 2019. Dr Khan was named 2020 Global Educational Influencer and one of the 100 Most Admired People in Education in 2021 by The Excelligent. In 2021, Dr Khan was recognized for her research contribution by the European Network for Academic Integrity as the recipient of their ENAI Research Excellence Award.
