About the Portal
The Portal provides expert advice, resources, and community support for individuals affected by misconduct and questionable practices in research and education
Privacy and Confidentiality
- No personal identification is required when submitting a request for individual support. Only an email address is needed to contact you.
- You may omit any identifying or personal details when describing your issue to receive private support.
- Private support requests are visible only to the site admin and mentors.
- Mentors and admins have signed a confidentiality pledge to ensure your privacy and protect the information you share.
- We comply with GDPR when processing your information.
- We do not share your information with third parties, except as required by law.

Process
- When submitting your first request, you’ll register with the Portal. You will receive a password by email, and all further communication will be managed through the Portal.
- The admin assigns mentors based on your preferences or the nature of your request. Each request is assigned two mentors, though mentors may choose to decline a case if needed.
- Mentors aim to provide their response within two weeks. Please be patient, as some cases can be complex and time-consuming, and our mentors are volunteering their time.
- You’re welcome to contact the admin at any time.
Background and Partners
At the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI), we recognized the need for independent services to support and advise individuals affected by academic misconduct. After numerous discussions on how to address this gap, we conceived the idea for this Portal. This concept was brought to life in collaboration with our colleagues from Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (Türkiye), the University of Konstanz (Germany), the University of Maribor (Slovenia), and the University of Porto (Portugal) as part of the Erasmus+ project Facing Academic Integrity Threats (FAITH). FAITH, an Erasmus+ project under Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education (Project Number 2021-1-TR01-KA220-HED-000027559, 2022 – 2025).
The support and guidance is provided by a team of mentors, academic intergity experts gathered under ENAI. The mentors are dedicated volunteers who contribute their time and expertise to uphold and promote academic integrity.
The Portal was developed jointly by the University of Maribor and ENAI. ENAI is responsible for its operation, with ENAI employees serving as the Portal’s administrators. ENAI is also committed to maintaining the Portal as an ongoing service to the academic community, ensuring its sustainability after the FAITH project ends. The Portal’s service will remain free of charge.

- All genuine requests will be assessed, and one or more mentors will be assigned to provide advice and support;
- When posting a request, the person may choose one or more mentors from the list provided. A description of the expertise of each mentor is provided;

- Mentors are not able to provide legal advice.
